Roscan Gold Celebrates Partial Lifting of Mining Title Suspension in Mali

Roscan Gold Corporation applauds the Government of Mali’s announcement to partially lift the suspension on mining title processing applications, effective March 15, 2025. This step is crucial for advancing the Kandiole Gold Project and reflects improved governance in Mali’s mining sector. Roscan has significant resource estimates at Kandiole and aims to collaborate with local authorities to foster further development and exploitation of gold resources.

On March 10, 2025, Roscan Gold Corporation announced that the Government of Mali has partially lifted the suspension on mining title processing applications. This development is significant for both the Malian mining sector and Roscan’s Kandiole Gold Project, marking an important step towards de-risking the project and enhancing industry governance.

Effective March 15, 2025, Mali’s Mining Administration will recommence processing applications concerning the renewal of research and exploitation permits, as well as the transition from research to exploitation. Applications regarding the direct or indirect transfer of exploitation permits will also be reviewed. This action follows the government’s efforts to improve governance within the mining sector.

Roscan Gold views this announcement as a critical juncture supporting the advancement of the Kandiole Gold Project, which boasts an indicated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 27.4 million tonnes at 1.2 g/t gold, amounting to 1.02 million ounces. Additionally, there exists an inferred MRE of 5.2 million tonnes at 1.2 g/t gold, totaling 0.20 million ounces. These estimates rely on a cut-off grade of 0.3 g/t gold for oxide and 0.42 g/t gold for fresh ore, based on a gold price of $1,500 per ounce.

Moreover, Roscan has identified an exploration target for additional MRE growth ranging from 8 million tonnes at 1.0 g/t gold to 30 million tonnes at 0.8 g/t gold within and around the MRE zones. For further details regarding the MRE and Exploration Target, one should refer to press releases from June 8, 2022.
