UAE Ambassador to India Emphasizes Growing Importance of Iftar Celebrations

UAE Ambassador to India, Abdulnasser Alshaali, emphasized the growing significance of Iftar celebrations, noting their deepening value for both the embassy and himself. He linked these events to the compassionate values of the UAE, highlighted by the recent opening of the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi. The UAE Ambassador to India, Abdulnasser Alshaali, highlighted the significance of Iftar celebrations, stating that it has become exceptionally meaningful for both him and the embassy. Since the inaugural Iftar hosted by the embassy two years ago, the event has expanded in scale and importance each subsequent year.

In an interview with ANI, Ambassador Alshaali remarked, “Iftar has become really special for me, not just for the embassy. We hosted it for the first time a couple of years ago. It became a larger and larger event every year.” He further explained that these celebrations reflect the essence of compassion and the values that the UAE cherishes and wishes to convey to India.

Alshaali also cited the recent opening of the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi as evidence of the strengthening ties between the UAE and India. He stated, “The Iftar tonight here captures the essence of compassion of the UAE… capturing all of those values that the UAE is proud of and wants to share with India.”

Additionally, he noted that the relationship between the two countries is not only about cultural exchanges but also encompasses advancements in various sectors, including economic, trade, and aviation. He announced a high-level visit is scheduled for April, expecting it to contribute positively to the ongoing dialogue and collaboration between nations.

Earlier in the day, Ambassador Alshaali hosted a Ramadan Iftar at the UAE Embassy in New Delhi, which was attended by a host of dignitaries, diplomats, government officials, and business leaders.
