ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – Authorities have charged a farmer from St Elizabeth following a police raid that revealed stolen gambling equipment at his residence. The accused, identified as 34-year-old Oshane Wilson, also known as “Sevens,” resides in Slipe District within the parish.
During the execution of a search warrant at Wilson’s home, law enforcement officials discovered a pot of gold poker box machine, along with multiple other gambling machine components such as monitors, bill acceptors, and circuit boards. Wilson was reportedly unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for possessing the equipment.
Further inquiries revealed that some of the items, including a monitor, power supply, a bill acceptor receipt, and a circuit board, were identified as stolen from a bar located in the Pedro Plains area. In addition to the gambling equipment, authorities found over one pound of ganja, along with ganja seeds on the premises.
Consequently, Wilson is facing additional charges related to the possession of and dealing in ganja, indicating a serious breach of the law in both gambling and narcotics.
