Upon arrival, security officials confirmed that Prime Minister Abiy’s delegation exited the airport without any incidents. A member of the Ethiopian delegation stated to AFP that they were unaware of any such mortar attacks.

In response, Mogadishu expressed its discontent and subsequently withdrew its ambassador from Ethiopia.
