Defence Committee Commends Repatriation of South African Soldiers from DRC

On 13 February 2025, the Co-Chairpersons of the Joint Standing Committee on Defence, Mr. Malusi Gigaba and Mr. Phiroane Phala, attended the ceremony for the repatriation of South African National Defence Force soldiers who perished in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Mr. Phala expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of the department, the United Nations, SADC, and the SANDF in repatriating the soldiers for their final resting place.
