To combat electoral fraud, the SDF has devised a plan to mobilize 90,000 election monitors, training three monitors per polling station. Louis-Marie Kakdeu, the party’s second vice-president, emphasized that this initiative aims to improve transparency, particularly in rural areas where the ruling party has considerable influence.
In preparation for the October 2025 elections, the SDF has established stringent criteria for candidates wishing to run under its banner. Prospective candidates must submit a complete application along with a non-refundable fee of 50 million FCFA (approximately $82,000 USD), which will fund the party’s campaign efforts.
The selection of the party’s presidential nominee will occur at a forthcoming extraordinary congress, adhering to the party’s internal regulations.
