Joya de Nicaragua, the oldest premium cigar brand from Nicaragua, showcased modest yet strategic updates at PCA 2025. This includes the launch of the Antaño CT Gran Cónsul and various Go-Packs, alongside packaging enhancements for their Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial and Número Uno lines. These developments affirm the brand’s dedication to quality and engagement with consumers.
Joya de Nicaragua stands as the oldest commercial premium cigar brand from Nicaragua and is widely appreciated during the PCA Convention & Trade Show. The team’s professionalism, intriguing product designs, and enlightening discussions with President Juan Ignacio Martínez further enhance the experience of covering this brand. At this year’s trade show, Joya de Nicaragua shared a space within Drew Estate’s vast exhibit, which posed a challenge in terms of visibility for their products.
Although this year’s booth presentation for Joya de Nicaragua was relatively modest, the brand introduced an extensive array of packaging updates alongside one new cigar offering. The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Gran Cónsul, an extension of the blend that received halfwheel’s 2019 Cigar of the Year recognition, will be available exclusively at retailers participating in the Club de Amigos of JDN program. The new size will retail at $11 and is set for release in May 2025.
Additionally, Joya de Nicaragua presented its Go-Packs featuring five 6 x 50 toro cigars from selected lines, with plans potentially in place for adding a Cuatro Cinco version in the future. Notably, the Rosalones Line Go-Pack will be sold only in markets outside the United States. Pricing for these packs varies, ranging from $37.50 to $45, with an expected release date in July 2025.
The brand will also unveil new packaging for the Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial, initially launched in 2015. The updated packaging will mirror the Cinco Décadas format, while maintaining the same blend and pricing. Scheduled for release in June 2025, this enhancement is symbolic of the brand’s commitment to quality presentation.
Moreover, the Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno will transition from dual packaging formats to a singular 13-count box design for all markets. This change retains the original blend and band aesthetics while offering a more elegant presentation and a reduced cost for consumers. This updated packaging is set to be available in April 2025, except for the Numero Uno L’Attache, which remains an exclusive format for participants of the Club de Amigos of JDN program.
Joya de Nicaragua continues to evolve and thrive within the premium cigar market by introducing innovative product offerings and enhanced packaging designs. The upcoming launches, including the Antaño CT Gran Cónsul and various Go-Packs, reflect their commitment to providing quality and accessibility to their loyal customer base. With these strategic updates, the company solidifies its position as a prominent player in the industry while maintaining a strong connection with its heritage and clientele.
