Among the representatives attending the event was Jack Chambers, Ireland’s Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Services, Reform, and Digitalisation, known for being the deputy leader of Fianna Fáil at the young age of 34. He traveled to Argentina as part of a broader effort to connect with the Irish diaspora and participated in festivities across over 90 cities worldwide.
At the reception, hosted by Irish Ambassador Gerard McCoy, Minister Chambers offered condolences regarding the recent tragedy in Bahía Blanca and advocated for peace in global conflicts such as Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. He acknowledged that March 17 is also the anniversary of the terrorist bombing of the Israeli Embassy in 1992, emphasizing Ireland’s ongoing commitment against terrorism and its consequences.
