Recognized for its strategic impact, the conference, running from March 17 to 19, focuses on global geopolitics and geoeconomics and is organized by the Observer Research Foundation alongside the Ministry of External Affairs.
In a conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Minister Jaishankar expressed gratitude for the insights shared regarding Ukraine’s peace negotiations. He announced the inauguration of the new Consulate General of Ukraine in Mumbai, which he believes will enhance bilateral relations further through a newly signed protocol agreement on visa-free travel for officials.
Minister Jaishankar also held discussions with Thailand’s Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa. The dialogue emphasized cooperation in digital technology, connectivity, food security, and the BIMSTEC partnership, reflecting India and Thailand’s close ties in addressing mutual challenges.
Additionally, Jaishankar met Peruvian Foreign Minister Elmer Schialer Salcedo to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations in politics, economy, and infrastructure. The meeting culminated in the formal exchange of an agreement on information sharing between the National Archives of India and the General Archives of Peru.
