On March 18, 2025, India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, engaged in significant discussions with foreign ministers from Ukraine, Thailand, and Peru during the Raisina Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi. His meeting with Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha included an appreciative exchange regarding the current status of peace negotiations and marked the inauguration of Ukraine’s new Consulate General in Mumbai, aimed at enhancing bilateral relations.
In a separate meeting, Minister Jaishankar met with Thailand’s Foreign Minister, Maris Sangiampongsa, where they discussed cooperation in digital connectivity and food security, as well as their partnership under BIMSTEC, fostering enhanced regional cooperation. Jaishankar expressed positivity towards this exchange through his social media remarks.
The discussions further extended to Peru’s Foreign Minister, Elmer Schialer Salcedo, where they explored opportunities to deepen cooperation across political, economic, and infrastructure domains. They also witnessed the exchange of a significant agreement concerning documentation between India’s National Archives and Peru’s General Archives, emphasizing a commitment to mutual understanding and collaboration.
