UCM is now the second university in Mozambique, positioned approximately 1,500 km from the capital, Maputo. Following its inception, the Faculty of Medicine opened due to efforts by “Doctors with Africa Cuamm” and local health authorities. The commitment from CUAMM has intensified since the introduction of medical courses in 2004, culminating in the graduation of the first medical students on August 25, 2007, marking a significant milestone in Mozambican higher education.
