The court revealed involvement by several current and former Iranian political and military figures, many of whom possessed diplomatic immunity at the time.
Additionally, there was evidence suggesting that some Argentine officials were complicit in the manipulation of evidence related to the crime. Following the court’s findings, Argentina’s Defense Minister Patricia Bullrich identified Hussein Ahmad Karaki as the mastermind behind the attacks. Karaki was noted as the head of Hezbollah operations in Latin America, having orchestrated multiple attacks historically and in recent years.
