In a 35-month timeframe, Ayesa will also conduct definitive design cost assessments and feasibility studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory, engineering, and safety standards. This project, known as the Anillo Vial Periférico, intends to connect 11 districts within the Peruvian capital and the port city of Callao. It is financed through a public-private partnership model, utilizing toll revenues for operational, maintenance, and initial costs.
Peru’s Transportation Minister Raúl Pérez-Reyes emphasized the project’s significance, stating, “This is a very important project for the city, which will allow goods to be moved efficiently and people who live at the edges of the city to connect with the other districts.” Ayesa plans to integrate building information management, asset management, and intelligent transport systems into the road’s design to promote efficient and safe infrastructure management.
