Effective December 5, gasoline prices in Jamaica will decrease by $3.06 for 90-octane and 87-octane, with automotive diesel also falling to $161.47 per litre. Kerosene will cost $145.15 per litre, and propane and butane prices will also decrease. Marketing companies will impose their mark-ups on these prices.
The price of gasoline in Jamaica will decrease on December 5, according to Petrojam’s recent ex-refinery costs. As a result, 90-octane gasoline will be priced at $164.04 per litre, a reduction of $3.06. Similarly, 87-octane will also decline by $3.06, bringing its price down to $155.07 per litre.
In addition, the price of automotive diesel fuel will be adjusted to $161.47 per litre, down by $3.06. The price for ultra-low sulphur diesel will drop by $2.94, making it $168.59 per litre. Kerosene will similarly decrease by $3.06 to $145.15 per litre.
For liquid petroleum products, propane will be priced at $73.34 per litre, reflecting a decrease of $0.77, while butane will cost $82.87 per litre, down by $0.92. Note that marketers and retailers will apply their own respective mark-ups to these adjusted prices.
