In conjunction with the update, Microsoft Flight Simulator introduced its latest Local Legend aircraft, the CAP-4 Paulistinha. This Brazilian light aircraft, developed in the 1940s by Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista, was intended for flight school training and is akin to the American Piper Cub. The aircraft is equipped with a Franklin 4AC 4-cylinder piston engine capable of generating up to 65 horsepower, features a range of 310 miles, achieves a cruising speed of 87 MPH, and operates at a service ceiling of 13,000 feet.
The CAP-4 Paulistinha was developed in partnership with iniBuilds and includes six variations: N505, PP-HCP, PP-HIY, PP-HLJ, PP-TJR, and PT-ZGA. As a gesture of goodwill for the delays experienced at launch, it is offered free to all Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 users. However, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 owners can acquire the CAP-4 Paulistinha for $14.99 through the MSFS Marketplace.
