Oriole Resources Highlights Significant Potential of Mbe Gold Project in Cameroon

Oriole Resources reports strong potential at the Mbe gold project in Cameroon, having achieved significant drill results. MBDD003 revealed high-grade intervals, while MBDD004 provided vital structural data. The drilling campaign is over 30% complete, with the company expecting further results in the coming months, enhancing their exploration strategy as they partner with BCM International.

Oriole Resources PLC, led by Chief Executive Martin Rosser, expressed strong optimism regarding the latest drilling results from the Mbe gold project in Cameroon, emphasizing its considerable potential. Recent data revealed that drill hole MBDD003 intersected a notable high-grade interval of 4.24 meters at 7.7 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, including a prominent section of 1.72 meters at 18 g/t gold, along with wider intervals of lower-grade mineralization.

Rosser remarked, “We are very pleased with the latest results from the second scissor pair of holes at Mbe, which continue to demonstrate the project’s tremendous potential. The high number of intersections received to date in the maiden programme is truly exciting.” With the drilling campaign at the MB01-S target over 30% completed, approximately 2,200 meters have been drilled across seven holes, confirming gold mineralisation over a minimum strike length of 200 meters and a vertical depth of around 290 meters.

The results from hole MBDD004, drilled perpendicular to MBDD003, yielded plusieurs gold intersections including 3.00 meters at 0.99 g/t gold and 4.60 meters at 0.53 g/t gold, along with a higher-grade interval of 1.20 meters at 1.38 g/t gold. Despite MBDD004 producing fewer mineralized intersections, it offered critical structural data necessary for refining the geological model. Rosser clarified the objective of using a scissor holes approach was to enhance the geological understanding of the site, stating, “The purpose of the two pairs of scissors holes was to provide key geological structural information… and indeed our geological model.”

Currently, two additional drill holes have been completed, with a third underway and more results anticipated in the second quarter of 2025. The company is focused on targeting high-grade areas within larger, lower-grade gold envelopes, utilizing the new data to enhance its exploration strategies. Oriole Resources retains a 90% ownership stake in the Mbe project, pursuing a fully funded maiden drilling program in collaboration with BCM International, which has obtained an initial 10% interest and stands to gain an additional 40% through $4 million in exploration spending. Rosser expressed anticipation for forthcoming results as drilling advances, reinforcing the significant gold mineralisation potential of the project.

Oriole Resources is enthusiastic about the encouraging drilling results from the Mbe gold project, which demonstrate a promising gold mineralisation landscape. The collaboration with BCM International and the rigorous drilling strategy will be instrumental in further exploration efforts. As drilling continues, stakeholders await additional results to assess and possibly enhance the project’s potential.
