The Egyptian initiative suggests that an administrative committee of independent Palestinian technocrats temporarily govern Gaza, preparing for the Palestinian Authority’s anticipated return.
The Foreign Ministry highlighted concerns regarding the reliance on the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA, labeling them as corrupt entities that have perpetuated a cycle of terrorism and failed to resolve ongoing issues. Furthermore, the ministry pointed out that the recent Arab summit statement did not mention Hamas or the massacre that occurred on October 7, which they consider a significant oversight.
