The talks additionally highlighted the necessity of supporting Somalia’s fight against terrorism and efforts to establish its sovereignty. Developments in Sudan were also addressed, with an emphasis on assisting the Sudanese state and upholding its unity and territorial integrity.
Further discussions included updates regarding Libya and the Sahel region, as well as recent developments in the Red Sea. Egypt reaffirmed its position opposing the involvement of non-Red Sea littoral states in the region’s security and governance.
