Aftermath Silver has announced exceptional drill results from the Berenguela Project in Peru, revealing high-grade silver and copper mineralization. The recent drill hole AFD100 marked notable findings, including the longest copper intercept and unprecedented silver assays. Ongoing metallurgical testing aims to maximize metal production, reinforcing Berenguela’s significance within the company’s objectives for critical metals.
In a recent update, Aftermath Silver’s CEO, Ralph Rushton, discussed the Phase 2 diamond drilling program at the Berenguela silver-copper-manganese deposit located in southern Peru. The latest drilling results reaffirm significant discoveries of high-grade silver and copper, as well as extend the known mineral resource at the site.
Notably, drill hole AFD100, which was positioned 50 meters east of earlier work, reported the longest copper intercept recorded to date—156 meters at 1.12% copper, 290 g/t silver, and 7.3% manganese. Furthermore, this hole yielded the two highest silver assays ever obtained at Berenguela, including an impressive 1.95 meters at 14,252 g/t silver.
These results from the Eastern Zone indicate substantial enrichment of silver and copper, with additional assay findings anticipated in the near future. Concurrently, metallurgical testing is being conducted to augment previous studies, aiming to optimize production of silver, copper metal, and commercially viable manganese products for battery or fertilizer applications.
The advancements highlighted in this project reinforce the viability of Berenguela as a major deposit of silver, copper, and manganese, aligning with Aftermath Silver’s objective of furthering high-quality critical metal projects.
In summary, Aftermath Silver has reported promising results from its drilling campaign at the Berenguela Project, with significant high-grade copper and silver findings. The metallurgical tests support the project’s potential for commercial production. Overall, this positions Berenguela as an important asset in the company’s strategy for developing critical metal resources.
