Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allies have signed a charter to form a rival government, raising concerns about further division in the country. On Sunday, Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and its allies formally established an alternative government, a move that raises concerns about further fragmentation of the already war-torn nation. Najm al-Din Drisa, spokesperson for the United Civil Forces, confirmed the signing of a charter behind closed doors in Nairobi, which aims to create a “government of peace and unity” in regions held by rebels.
