Retail establishments are similarly reporting a notable increase in sales. Mohammed Majid, sales manager at Economy Saving Center, stated that their Jeddah-based store has noted a 70 percent rise in sales as they introduce an assortment of Ramadan-themed products, from decorative lights to local brand items.

Online shopping experiences an uptick as well, according to Saleha Ameen, founder of an online store specializing in handmade prayer mats and accessories. She reported a 40 percent increase in online orders, particularly for customized prayer mats displaying personalized designs and beads.

Local food businesses, such as Soma, also see a remarkable increase in orders as traditional dishes like grape leaves and musakhan remain popular during Iftar. Noura Abdullah, the founder of Soma, stated, “Ramadan is the busiest month for us,” reflecting on their reliance on advanced technology to streamline operations and ensure product quality amid the demand surge.

Goody Kitchen, known for its digital food offerings, has taken measures to engage with consumers during Ramadan. Noha Baik, the brand experience manager, mentioned the release of a Ramadan magazine that shares recipes and stories about food and family traditions.

Major hotels are preparing to cater to the increased demand with enhanced Iftar offerings. Vipin Khattar, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Jeddah, noted a focus on traditional Saudi dishes, leveraging data analytics to refine their services and utilize AI technologies for guest experiences.

At Movenpick Hotel Tahlia Jeddah, Monther Abou Alssil is introducing an Iftar menu that features an Italian culinary twist. He remarked on their commitment to community values by hosting a charity event inviting individuals with special needs to share Iftar meals, promoting both culinary innovation and social responsibility.
