Chinese Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the National Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities and Group of 77 Residence in Liberia on February 7. During the event, he praised the Liberian government’s commitment to human rights for individuals with disabilities. President Boakai reaffirmed Liberia’s support for all citizens, including persons with disabilities, through national resource management and the ARREST Inclusive Development Agenda.
On February 7, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Yin Chengwu, participated in the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the National Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities and the Group of 77 Residence. The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including H.E. Mr. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of Liberia, Hon. Mr. Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Vice President, and Madam Synleseh Stephenie Dahn Koung, the Second Lady, as well as members of the diplomatic community and international organizations.
In his remarks, Ambassador Yin expressed his congratulations on the establishment of the new facility, highlighting it as a testament to the Liberian government’s dedication to human rights, particularly for individuals with disabilities. He emphasized the strong and enduring relationship between the Chinese government and the Group of 77, pledging continued cooperation to strengthen the bonds between both nations.
President Boakai underscored Liberia’s commitment to all citizens, including those with disabilities. He assured that the government would effectively utilize national resources to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities, further implementing the Liberian ARREST Inclusive Development Agenda to promote an inclusive, peaceful, and prosperous society for all.
