Iran Advances in Nuclear Science, Claims AEOI Chief

Iran has achieved mastery of nuclear science, ranking among 18 recognized countries in this field. AEOI chief Mohammad Eslami emphasized that these advancements occur despite global opposition, and they extend beyond energy production to healthcare and agriculture, with strong backing from the nation’s leaders.

TEHRAN – The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, has announced that Iran has attained complete expertise in nuclear science, positioning it among the 18 nations with a recognized nuclear industry. During a recent visit to Qom, Eslami met with senior religious researchers and clerics to present the latest advancements in Iran’s nuclear technology and its applications in various sectors.

Eslami asserted that despite facing opposition from global powers, Iran’s nuclear energy program has achieved parity with that of developed countries. He stated, “Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has full mastery of nuclear science and is among the select group of 18 countries with an established nuclear industry.”

The AEOI chief highlighted that advancements in nuclear technology occurred in the face of resistance from hegemonic forces, leading to Iran being subjected to rigorous monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He remarked, “The global hegemonic system opposes Iran’s access to advanced technologies, including nuclear energy.”

Eslami attributed the success of Iran’s nuclear sector to the persistence, research, and faith of Iranian scientists and engineers, while noting the significant backing of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He emphasized that Iranian nuclear advancements extend beyond electricity generation to include vital contributions to healthcare and environmental preservation.

In discussing the history of Iran’s nuclear industry, Eslami indicated it has evolved into a significant sector, employing over 25,000 specialists across various departments, and managing between 40 to 50 affiliated companies in nuclear and related industries. He underscored the role of nuclear technology in bolstering agricultural productivity and promoting sustainability.

During the meetings in Qom, senior clerics expressed their support for the peaceful advancement of nuclear energy and highlighted the need to harness Iran’s abundant natural and human resources, such as nuclear technology and oil and gas. The clerics reiterated the importance of investment in peaceful nuclear capabilities and other scientific fields for Iran’s enduring growth.

Iran’s nuclear program has been a pivotal element in the nation’s development strategy, showcasing its technological capabilities since its inception over 50 years ago. Despite facing international scrutiny and sanctions largely orchestrated by hegemonic powers, Iran has strived to establish a predominantly peaceful nuclear industry. The advancements made in nuclear science have fostered applications both domestically and within health and agricultural sectors, bolstering national progress amidst external pressures.

In conclusion, Iran’s nuclear program, under the stewardship of the AEOI, has achieved significant advancements, placing the country among those with recognized nuclear industries. Despite ongoing opposition and stringent IAEA monitoring, Iran has cultivated a robust nuclear sector that contributes to various fields, including healthcare and agriculture. The support from religious leaders and the continuous investment in peaceful nuclear technology are critical for Iran’s sustained development.
