During a recent visit to Qom, Eslami met with senior religious researchers and clerics to present the latest advancements in Iran’s nuclear technology and its applications in various sectors.
Eslami asserted that despite facing opposition from global powers, Iran’s nuclear energy program has achieved parity with that of developed countries. He stated, “Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has full mastery of nuclear science and is among the select group of 18 countries with an established nuclear industry.”
The AEOI chief highlighted that advancements in nuclear technology occurred in the face of resistance from hegemonic forces, leading to Iran being subjected to rigorous monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He remarked, “The global hegemonic system opposes Iran’s access to advanced technologies, including nuclear energy.”
Eslami attributed the success of Iran’s nuclear sector to the persistence, research, and faith of Iranian scientists and engineers, while noting the significant backing of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. In discussing the history of Iran’s nuclear industry, Eslami indicated it has evolved into a significant sector, employing over 25,000 specialists across various departments, and managing between 40 to 50 affiliated companies in nuclear and related industries.
