He noted the success of the last meeting in May 2024, which resulted in significant disruption of criminal activities along the border. Col. Munyankindi remarked, “We have made tremendous progress since our last meeting, and this collaboration continues to enhance security along our shared border.” The discussions included site visits to vital border areas in Kyerwa and Karagwe districts. Local traders engaged in cross-border commerce provided positive testimonials regarding the security collaboration, with a trader named Fokasi Tunda Marico citing, “The security measures put in place by both governments have made trading much easier.
